Every year the University of West Florida hosts Take Back the night. An event that focuses on the empowerment of students and takes a stand against sexual abuse. This year the event included many Greek organizations such as Alpha Chi Omega and the Nu Eta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. Everyone that participated in take back the night, sung chants against sexual violence in a walk around the UWF Campus. At the end of the walk, the UWF police gave a R.A.D. demonstration on self-defense and even took questions from concerned students.
